Pay Rates:
- £12.95 per hour (20:00 - 22:00)
- £14.10 per hour (22:00 - 04:30)
- £17.63 per hour after 42 hours
Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Night Warehouse Operative to join our fast-paced food-to-go distribution team. This role is physically demanding and takes place in a chilled environment (2-3°C), supporting nightly deliveries by unloading stock, organising products, and preparing routes for dispatch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload up to 3 delivery trucks per night (arriving at approximately 20:00, 23:00, and 01:00)
- Use manual pump trucks to move pallets into the fridge (each truck contains approx. 14-18 pallets)
- Work in a chilled warehouse environment (2-3°C)
- Break down pallets and accurately allocate stock to designated route bays
- Ensure all stock is placed correctly and ready for drivers to load (no van loading required)
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially if deliveries are delayed
- Spend the final hour of the shift cleaning, removing waste, and organising the warehouse for day staff
- Follow all health & safety and food hygiene procedures
- Work as part of a team to meet nightly deadlines
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse experience preferred but not essential
- Comfortable working in a cold (2-3°C) environment
- Physically fit and able to move heavy pallets
- Able to work in a fast-paced role
- Good attention to detail and organisation
- Reliable and punctual with strong attendance
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
