Are you an experienced Quality Engineer with a background in the Aerospace industry? Are you looking for an opportunity to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business where quality and continuous improvement are at the heart of operations? We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Quality Engineer to join their team, based primarily in Telford, with occasional travel to their Tamworth, Staffordshire facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong aerospace quality background who enjoys problem-solving, maintaining high industry standards, and driving quality improvements within a manufacturing environment.

The Role

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with aerospace quality standards and supporting continuous improvement across the business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 requirements
  • Investigating and resolving quality issues using 8D methodologies and effective root cause analysis tools
  • Supporting and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with AS9100 standards
  • Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve quality concerns
  • Supporting quality improvement initiatives and ensuring best practice is maintained

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience within the Aerospace industry
  • Experience producing First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102)
  • Strong understanding of 8D problem-solving techniques and root cause analysis
  • Experience supporting AS9100 Quality Management Systems

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience with process audits, PFMEA, PPAP, and SPC
  • Knowledge or experience of PCB manufacturing
