Hours: Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Friday: 8:00am - 2:00pm (flexibility required)

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join the team. You will play a crucial role in developing innovative electrical solutions for crane projects and supporting ongoing design and project activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Generating deliverables specific to individual jobs, such as:
- Initial concept design in collaboration with clients and in-house teams
- Electrical schematic diagrams (CAD work)
- Instrument loop diagrams (if required)
- PLC wiring diagrams and I/O schedules
- Panel layouts
- Fully populated parts lists / BOM based on schematics
- Order placement and delivery tracking
- LV distribution and cable calculations (if required)
- Machinery safety circuit design and risk assessments to BS EN ISO 13849/60261
- Technical documentation
- Assisting with day-to-day job planning and management
Experience & Skills Required
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Basic understanding of PLC, HMI, and SCADA software; experience beneficial
- Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Work effectively under time constraints
- Understanding of industrial networks (Profibus, Profinet, etc.)
- Experience in safety systems design and programming highly advantageous
- Knowledge of Siemens PLC preferred (training available for other systems)
- Able to read and understand electrical drawings
- Able to fault-find on existing systems, with or without drawings
- Experience working in an engineering environment
- Clean UK driving licence
