The Best Connection Sheffield is recruiting a reliable and professional 7.5 Tonne (C1) Driver on behalf of our client, a specialist provider of machine knife sharpening services.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing, full-time work with the potential to become a permanent member of the team after successful temp-perm period.
You'll begin by driving a company van for approximately 3-5 weeks while completing your paid training. This allows you to learn the routes, become familiar with customers, and gain a full understanding of the role before progressing to your dedicated 7.5 Tonne vehicle.
The Role
As a 7.5 Tonne Driver, your duties will include:
- Nationwide collections and deliveries
- Visiting pre-arranged industrial customer sites
- Typical start time of 6/6:30am
- Loading and unloading goods
- Completing vehicle checks
- Delivering excellent customer service while maintaining safe driving standards
- Weekly PAYE pay
- Full paid training
- Temp-to-perm opportunity after 12 successful weeks
- 28 days' paid annual leave (accrued)
- Pension contributions (subject to eligibility)

Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Valid C1 (7.5 Tonne) Licence
- Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Comfortable with manual handling
