The Best Connection is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established food manufacturer based on the outskirts of Goole. We are looking to appoint a proactive, hands-on Factory Supervisor to oversee day-to-day production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role is ideal for someone with strong manufacturing and production line experience who is confident working with machinery and resolving faults to keep production running smoothly. Previous experience within food manufacturing is desirable but not essential.
The Role:
As Factory Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring production targets, quality standards and safety requirements are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily production activities to meet output and quality targets
- Operate, monitor and troubleshoot production machinery
- Identify and resolve mechanical issues to minimise downtime
- Ensure production schedules are met efficiently and safely
- Provide hands-on support, guidance and direction to production staff
- Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised manufacturing environment
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in a production or manufacturing supervisory role
- Strong, hands-on experience working on manufacturing lines
- Good mechanical knowledge with confidence in fault-finding and problem-solving
- FLT Counterbalance licence preferred but not essential
- Basic people management or supervisory experience
- Flexible approach to working hours to support operational needs
Hours & Pay:
- 37.5 to 39 hours per week, depending on shift pattern
- Start times between 6:00am and 7:00pm
- Finish times between 2:00pm and 3:00pm
- Pay rate of £14.00 - £15.00 per hour, depending on experience
