Airport Security Officers Required! The Best Connection are excited to be recruiting for a number of Airport Security Officers for our client based at Manchester Airport.
Pay Rate: £12.21ph
Hours: Various (minimum 4 hours per shift, some shifts may be longer depending on operational requirements)
Shifts: 4 on 2 off (could vary depending on operational requirements & flight schedules)
To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a Ground Security Operative qualification (GSO) in which The Best Connection will cover the costs and enrol you onto the 10 day course before your start date.
The role of the Airport Security Officer will involve carrying out security procedures for an operation at Manchester airport for one of their international airlines and ensuring all security measures are being followed. You may be required to work with different areas such as the Baggage Handlers, Catering Providers, Customer Care Teams, Cargo Handlers, Check In staff. Please note the job is to observe only and check the work being carried out is being done correctly and to CAA regulations.
Airport Security Officers will also be responsible for the following:
- Working in the access control area, monitoring airport staff entering and exiting the aircraft
- Working on the ramps, recording all activities on the ramp such as incoming cleaners, contractors and other airport personnel
- Aircraft searches
- Baggage checks
- Security questions and random searches for selected passengers
- Checking boarding passes
- General document checks
Please note: Due to the nature of our business, we are regulated by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority), therefore it is compulsory for all applicants to provide or be willing to obtain the following:
- Be willing to apply for a Criminal Record Check (Paid for by us!)
- Have a full 5-year checkable history (Obtained for you by us!)
- Be able to provide a full 5-year address history
- Have an in date and valid Photo ID (Passport, Driving Licence, ID Card etc)
- Be willing to attend Aviation Security Training Courses
- Must have resided within the UK during the last 3 years and be willing to complete a Counter Terrorism Check (Paid for and obtained by us!)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
