Shift Administrator - Steel Warehouse
South Park Industrial Estate, Scunthorpe
Rotational Shifts: 6:00am - 2:00pm / 2:00pm - 11:00pm
£12.71 per hour + £11.50 per shift allowance
The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Shift Administrator to join a busy steel-based warehouse operation on South Park Industrial Estate. Working as part of a fast-paced team, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth running of daily warehouse activities.
This role operates on a rotational shift pattern of 6am-2pm and 2pm-11pm, so flexibility is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing goods in and out using internal systems
- Accurately inputting stock and order data
- Producing delivery notes, despatch paperwork, and transport documentation
- Stock control and inventory management
- Dealing with customer orders from start to completion
- Raising purchase orders (PO's)
- Liaising with warehouse teams, drivers, and transport coordinators
- Handling queries and resolving administrative issues efficiently
- Maintaining accurate records and filing systems
- Supporting general operations within a steel warehouse environment
About You
- Previous administration experience is essential, ideally within a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Experience with stock control, customer order management, and raising PO's is highly desirable
- Confident IT skills, including experience with warehouse or stock systems
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, industrial environment
- Must be reliable and flexible to work rotational shifts
