Class 1 Trunker Drivers - Nights & Days Available
We are urgently recruiting 6 x Class 1 Night Trunker Drivers for Monday to Friday evening work on short, clean trunk routes.
Night Trunking Roles (PRIORITY REQUIREMENT)
- Monday to Friday nights
- Start times between 18:00 - 20:00
- Routes include Birtley, Wellingborough & Stoke
- Short, straightforward depot-to-depot runs
Pay & Hours:
- Guaranteed 42 hours pay per week
- Based on 5 shifts
- Any additional hours paid at overtime rate
- Any shortfall still paid at 42 hours
Night Rates (Mon-Fri +6%):
- Class 1 Store Driver: £19.19 per hour
- Class 1 Trunker Driver: £17.47 per hour
Overtime (after 42 hours):
- Class 1 Store Driver: £24.07 per hour
- Class 1 Trunker Driver: £21.92 per hour
Day Trunk / Store Delivery Roles (Limited Availability)
- Shift Patterns: Tuesday to Friday plus Saturday or Friday to Monday (4 days per week)
- Weekend availability required (especially Saturdays)
Hours & Pay:
- 42 hours guaranteed pay per week
- Overtime paid after 45 hours
Store delivery work can also include Class 2 drivers.
Preference for drivers who can:
- Work every other Saturday, or
- Follow rotational patterns (e.g. Wednesday to Saturday / Tuesday to Friday)
Standard Pay Rates:
- Class 1 Store Driver: £18.10 per hour
- Class 1 Trunker Driver: £16.48 per hour
Weekend Premium (+12.5%):
- Class 1 Store Driver: £20.36 per hour
- Class 1 Trunker Driver: £18.54 per hour
What You'll Be Doing:
- Depot-to-depot trunking (no multi-drop)
- Store delivery work (for day roles)
- Clean, well-planned routes
- Minimal manual handling
- Driving modern, well-maintained vehicles
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- CPC & Digital Tachograph card
- Minimum 6 months experience essential
- Class 2 accepted for some store delivery roles
