The Best Connection is recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established business specialising in food, for a Sales Assistant to join their busy sandwich shop team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers and wants to be part of a friendly, fast-paced environment.
Pay Rate
£12.71 per hour
Hours of Work
- Approximately 25 hours per week
- Monday: 9:00am - 2:00pm
- Tuesday: 10:00am - 2:00pm
- Thursday: 10:00am - 2:00pm
- Friday: 7:00am - 2:00pm
- Additional shifts and hours may be available when team members are on holiday
- Must be able to cover occasional 6:00am starts when required
Main Duties
- Providing a friendly and professional service to all customers
- Taking customer orders and handling payments
- Preparing and serving sandwiches and other food products
- Assisting with general food preparation
- Cooking bacon, sausages, pork, and other products using ovens
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Replenishing stock and keeping the shop well presented
- Supporting the team with general day-to-day shop duties
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous customer service, retail, hospitality, or food service experience is desirable
- Friendly, approachable, and confident when dealing with customers
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Able to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Flexible and willing to provide additional cover when required
- Must be able to cover occasional 6:00am starts
