We are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our client's busy logistics team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong planning, administration, and Excel skills who is looking to develop their career within transport and logistics.

The role is initially based in Ryton, with a planned move to Daventry in the near future, so candidates must be able to travel and work from the Daventry site when required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning daily transport operations and delivery schedules
  • Route planning and organising next-day loads
  • Managing inbound and outbound units
  • Sourcing and booking trailers
  • Pulling, analysing, and inputting data using Excel
  • Monitoring delivery days and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Communicating with drivers, customers, and internal teams
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Previous route planning or transport experience
  • Good Excel knowledge
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience within a logistics, transport, or distribution setting
Pay & Hours:

£13.33 per hour
Monday to Friday
Choice of shifts: 8:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm
