We are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to join our client's busy logistics team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong planning, administration, and Excel skills who is looking to develop their career within transport and logistics.
The role is initially based in Ryton, with a planned move to Daventry in the near future, so candidates must be able to travel and work from the Daventry site when required.
Key Responsibilities:- Planning daily transport operations and delivery schedules
- Route planning and organising next-day loads
- Managing inbound and outbound units
- Sourcing and booking trailers
- Pulling, analysing, and inputting data using Excel
- Monitoring delivery days and ensuring deadlines are met
- Communicating with drivers, customers, and internal teams
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Previous route planning or transport experience
- Good Excel knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience within a logistics, transport, or distribution setting

Monday to Friday
Choice of shifts: 8:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm
