About the Role
We are currently recruiting experienced
Medical Equipment Technician to support a busy healthcare operation responsible for the inspection, cleaning and preparation of returned medical equipment.
This
Medical Equipment Technician role is ideal for candidates with previous experience in decontamination, sterile services (CSSD), or medical equipment processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Check returned medical equipment to ensure all components have been received.
- Clean, wash and disinfect equipment in line with strict procedures.
- Carry out basic repairs where required.
- Accurately record missing parts and update internal systems.
- Identify and handle medical instruments and equipment correctly.
- Maintain high standards of quality, hygiene and compliance at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a decontamination, sterile services (CSSD), medical equipment, healthcare environment, Healthcare/ Social Care Industry.
- Familiarity with medical instruments and equipment is essential.
- A recognised Decontamination Certificate is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written procedures.
- Comfortable with manual handling, as equipment boxes typically weigh between 2kg and 9kg.
