Warehouse Operative - Bandsaw Operator

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative / Bandsaw Operator to join a busy and fast-paced operation in Bolton. This role is ideal for someone with experience working with metal products and operating bandsaws, who is comfortable carrying out a variety of warehouse duties in a hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Measuring and cutting metal materials accurately using a bandsaw.
- Loading, unloading, and relocating steel pipes, tubes, and metal products throughout the warehouse.
- Using hand scanners to manage stock movements and order processing.
- Using computer systems for stock control, tracking, and basic data entry.
- Handling metal products and materials, including heavier items.
- Carrying out general warehouse duties as required.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with company health and safety procedures.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous bandsaw operating experience (essential).
- Experience working with steel, metal products, or within a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
- Computer literacy and confidence using warehouse systems (essential).
- Good numeracy and attention to detail when measuring and cutting materials.
- Ability to carry out manual handling duties safely.
- Strong understanding and commitment to health and safety procedures.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
