The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an experienced Saw Operative on behalf of our well-established client based in Rowley Regis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and growing company, with the potential to secure a permanent contract following a successful trial period.
Pay Rate: £12.77 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00
The Role: As a Saw Operative, you will play a key role within the production team, ensuring timber is cut accurately and efficiently to meet customer requirements. Duties will include:
- Operating a Crossbody Saw safely and effectively.
- Measuring and cutting timber to precise specifications.
- Palletising finished timber products ready for the next stage of production.
- Conducting quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area.
- Following all health and safety procedures.
Candidate Requirements: To be considered for this role, applicants must:
- Have previous experience operating a Crossbody Saw.
- Be confident working with timber and wood products.
- Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Be able to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Possess a strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
- Be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties.
- Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Be reliable, punctual and committed to regular attendance.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrate good communication and teamwork skills.
