The Best Connection is currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a well-established and growing packaging supply company based in Rowley Regis. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work with the potential to gain a permanent position following a successful trial period.

Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour. Potential pay increase available upon securing a permanent contract.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00.

Role: Working within a busy and fast-paced warehouse and yard environment, your duties will include:

  • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
  • Moving timber around the site.
  • Stock movement and storage allocation.
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
  • Following all site health and safety procedures.

Permanent Opportunities: Successful candidates may be offered a permanent contract following a satisfactory trial period.

Candidate Requirements: To be considered for this role, applicants must:

  • Hold a valid FLT Counterbalance Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS or equivalent).
  • Have previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck in a warehouse, manufacturing, distribution or yard environment.
  • Be confident handling large, bulky or heavy materials.
  • Demonstrate excellent awareness of health and safety procedures.
  • Have good communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Be reliable, punctual and have excellent attendance.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Be able to work independently and use initiative.
