We are a family-run drainage company looking for a reliable and hardworking Class 2 Driver to join our team on an ongoing basis.
You will be working alongside one of our trained drainage engineers, driving a Class 2 tanker vehicle with a manual gearbox (4-over-4) to various customer sites. Your primary responsibility will be transporting the engineer and vehicle safely to and from jobs. While on site, you will also be expected to assist the engineer where required, including:
- Collecting and preparing equipment and tools.
- Providing general site support.
- Regularly checking on the engineer when they are carrying out work below ground to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
- Assisting with other reasonable duties as required.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend work may be required. The role can involve long working hours depending on workload and location of jobs.
Pay: £15.50 - £21.75 per hour, depending on experience and shifts worked.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Experience driving manual gearbox vehicles preferred.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work as part of a team and support engineers on site.
- Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
