The Role - Refuse & Recycling Driver Operative
To safely and efficiently collect, transport, exchange, and process waste and recyclable materials across Gatwick Airport.
The role involves operating a range of specialist waste collection vehicles and equipment, including Hook Loaders, Skip Loaders, Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs), and 18-tonne rigid vehicles.
The operative will collect skips, compactors, and waste containers from airport locations and transport waste safely to approved recycling, treatment, and disposal facilities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, environmental compliance, and customer service.

Skills & Experience
- Valid Category C (Class 2) HGV Driving Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Gatwick Airport security clearance
- Right to work in UK
- Experience driving large goods vehicles in operational environments.
- Knowledge of safe loading and unloading practices.
- Ability to work safely with waste and recyclable materials.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
- Ability to complete vehicle checks and operational paperwork.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
