Recycling Operatives Wanted – Consistent Work & Weekly Pay
Location: Hailsham | Shifts: 07:30 – 17:00
The Best Connection is a recruitment agency, and this position is being offered on a Temporary basis.
We are seeking reliable and hardworking Recycling Operatives to assist our client in a busy skip and waste management operation based in Hailsham. This is a physical role working in a recycling yard, supporting the sorting and processing of waste materials by working on a sorting line and removing recyclable material from waste.
You will work as part of a team, handling waste safely and efficiently, ensuring materials are correctly sorted in line with environmental and site regulations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, is safety‑conscious, and takes pride in contributing to environmentally responsible waste management.
Responsibilities
- Identifying and separating different types of recyclables (e.g., wood, metal, plastics).
- Always maintaining a clean and safe working area.
- Follow health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Report any machinery faults or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Assist with general yard duties when required.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily targets.
- Ensure compliance with company recycling standards and environmental policies.
