Our client located in RG7 is looking for a factory operative. The role is working within a company that builds bespoke high quality timber crates for freight travel by sea, air, road, or rail. Own transport is ideal due to the location.
Contract: Temporary & Temporary to permanent.
Hours: Mon - Thurs: 8am - 4:30pm, Fri - 8am - 3:30pm
Pay: £13 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily timber packaging and manufacturing operations.
- Working with wood and timber materials.
- Operate and maintain machinery (full training provided).
- Cut, assemble, and handle timber products.
- Manage stock and incoming materials.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow all health & safety procedures.
- Help in other areas of the warehouse as required.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience working with wood/timber desirable.
- Experience in a manufacturing or factory environment.
- Good attention to detail.
- Machine operation or DIY/carpentry skills are advantageous.
