Role Overview & Responsibilities
As a Forklift Driver, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the yard, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
Pay & Working Hours
- Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour
- Working Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 7am to 3.30pm
- Breaks: 30 minute unpaid lunch break
This role offers consistent weekday hours, allowing for a healthy work-life balance with no weekend work required.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working alongside the Supervisor to ensure the operation runs smoothly
- Assisting the yard team with material break downs
- Forklift maintenance
- Ensuring the yard is kept clean and tidy
- Manage equipment being weighed when loading/unloading vehicles
- Ensuring materials are prepped and ready for drivers to load the vehicles
- Keeping paperwork up to date, including everything documented and passed to the office staff
