The Best Connection are proud to be partnering with our client and are recruiting for Production Operatives for their Biggleswade site. The role is working a rotating shift pattern of 06:00am-14:00 week 1 and 14:00-22:00 week 2, Monday-Friday. Pay rate is £12.90 per hour then after 12 weeks will increase to £13.62. Overtime is available (subject to availability) on weekends/bank holidays up to £24.50 per hour.
The role will involve producing mixes and batters from raw ingredients for other food manufacturers and restaurant chains.
Requirements of the Production Operative:
- Follow strict food hygiene and health and safety protocol at all times when operating the production equipment.
- Select, weigh and mix raw ingredients to menu specifications and operate machinery and equipment to ensure finished products are of the highest quality.
- Pick, pack and label products ready for dispatch and assist with any other production duties as required.
- Complete any required safety checks and cleaning duties on shift, reporting any issues to management.
- Have an interest in working in industrial food production and work collaboratively with colleagues at all times.
Responsibilities of the Production Operative:
- Operate the production machinery safely and follow all health and safety protocols, following directions/instructions.
- Must be able to commute to the site in Biggleswade and commit to rotating shifts on an ongoing/temp to perm basis.
- Carry out tasks that involve manual handling with some heavy lifting up to 25kg on a daily basis.
- Assist in other areas of the production and warehouse to meet production targets.
