The Best Connection Bedford are delighted to be supporting one of our new clients, a manufacturer of high quality fresh meat and deli products - based in Potton, Sandy. We are recruiting for Food Production and Hygiene Operatives. There are various shift patterns available, pay rate is £12.21 per hour for day shifts and £18.32 per hour after 40 hours per week. Shift patterns include:
- 06:00am - 14:30pm Monday to Friday
- 14:00pm - 20:00pm Monday to Friday
- 08:00am - 20:00pm Monday to Friday
There is a bus shuttle service for the early shifts with pick-up points in Bedford and Luton - please contact the branch for information.
Duties are as follows:
- Hygiene operatives will be responsible for cleaning, sanitising and preparing equipment for production runs.
- Food Production Operatives will be responsible for preparing fresh meat products, including pork products to the highest standards and production targets.
- To adhere to all food safety and site safety laws at all times, reporting to management any actions needing immediate attention.
- Maintain a safe and tidy workplace and work with the hygiene and production teams to complete tasks on time and to production targets.
- Label and organise food products in the designated areas.
- Wear the PPE provided and ensure that all equipment and utensils are used correctly.
Requirements of the Food Production/Hygiene Operatives:
- Previous food production experience of fresh produce an advantage.
- Hardworking with an awareness of food hygiene and production targets.
- Great team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Candidate will be working in a chilled environment at certain times of the shift, so must dress appropriately.
- Candidates must be able to commit to shift patterns and have reliable transport.
