Warehouse Operatives (Night Shift)
Location: Preston, PR2
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
Start Time: 9:00 PM
Shift Length: Typically 8-9 hours per shift
Pay Rate: £12.71
The Best Connection are currently recruiting NIGHT WAREHOUSE OPERATIVES to join the busy operation at our client in Preston. This is a physically demanding role suited to individuals who thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment and are comfortable with heavy manual handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Sorting parcels quickly and accurately within the warehouse
- Loading and unloading parcels from trailers and containers
- Pulling and manoeuvring parcel cages around the warehouse
- Heavy lifting and manual handling throughout the shift
- Scanning and processing parcels using handheld devices
- Ensuring parcels are routed to the correct destinations
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Ability to undertake heavy manual labour for the duration of the shift
- Comfortable pulling loaded cages and moving parcels safely
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
- Good attention to detail
- Previous warehouse or parcel sorting experience is advantageous but not essential
