Potato Graders Required - TF6 Area
The Best Connection are currently recruiting Potato Graders for one of our well-established clients based in the TF6 area.
Please note: This is seasonal work only, with the season expected to finish around the end of October. Due to the start and finish times and the rural location of the site, there is no suitable public transport available, therefore own transport is essential.
We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who can be flexible with working hours and are available to work weekends during busier periods.
Pay Rate:£12.71ph
Hours
- Start times between 7:00am and 9:00am, depending on daily orders.
- Finish times vary depending on workload but will be no later than 7:00pm.
- Weekend work may be required during peak periods.
About the Role
You will be responsible for sorting and grading potatoes on a production line, ensuring that only high-quality produce is packed and prepared for distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and grade potatoes according to size and quality standards.
- Remove damaged, defective, or unsuitable produce.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Work efficiently as part of a fast-paced production team.
- Follow site procedures and Health & Safety guidelines at all times.
Requirements
- Own transport is essential due to the location and lack of public transport.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual attitude.
- Flexible with working hours, including weekends when required.
- Previous farm or agricultural experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
- No previous grading experience necessary as full training will be provided.
