The Best Connection are recruiting for Van Drivers based from WF9, delivering to stores and regional service centres. Various start times available across various shift patterns.
Deliveries to stores are within a 150 mile radius and deliveries to RSCs are nationwide.
- Nights: The role will be completing single trip deliveries nationwide to own and partner RSCs. Handballing will be required to load full sacks on and off the van and you will also be required to scan the sacks off the vehicle to the customer. Start times between midnight and 0200.
- Days: The role will be covering between 5 and 10 drops per day to clients' own stores and making collections from suppliers on return to depot. Handballing will be necessary and will be required to use a scanner to scan the sacks from the van to confirm the delivery to store. Start times are mainly between 0600 and 0800.
An assessment is required, which includes a driving assessment, highway code and drivers hours rules/regs test. Upon completion of successful assessment, there will be a 3 day induction, and then be buddied up with a permanent driver to learn paperwork and processes as well as practical yard training (5 days in total - all paid).
Pay rates (holiday pay):
- Days (0600-2200) - £12.86 per hour, Monday to Sunday, overtime paid at £19.29 per hour
- Nights (2200-0600) - £15.43 per hour Monday to Sunday, overtime paid at £23.15 per hour
