Class 1 Days/Afters/Nights & Weekend Drivers - South Elmsall (WF9)
The Best Connection are currently recruiting Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for days/afters/nights and weekend shifts with our well-established retail client based in South Elmsall, WF9.
The Role
You will be completing trunking work to:
- The client's regional service centres across the UK
- Third-party partner depots nationwide
This is straightforward trunk work:
- Pre-loaded trailers
- No manual handling
- Tip & turn operation, managed at the receiving depot
What We're Looking For
We're seeking professional drivers who:
- Have excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
- Are reliable and punctual
- Maintain a professional attitude at all times
Assessment & Training
All candidates will complete:
- Driving Assessment: Coupling/uncoupling, Reversing & manoeuvring
- Paid Induction (4 days total):
- 2 days classroom training: Drivers' hours, Tachograph regulations, Highway Code knowledge check
- 2 days on-road 'buddy shifts' with an experienced driver: Learning routes, paperwork & procedures
Pay Rates
- £17.30/hr - Days (06:00-18:00)
- £20.30/hr - Sun-Thu nights (22:00-06:00) & Sat days
- £22.30/hr - Friday nights & Sundays
- £24.85/hr - Saturday nights
- £34.60/hr - Bank Holidays
- Overtime: Paid at 1.33x after 42-45 hours per week
