The Best Connection Dudley are currently recruiting for an experienced Plastic Excursion Operative with FLT on behalf of our client based in Tipton. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with the potential for a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate and monitor plastic extrusion machinery to ensure production targets are achieved.
- Set up extrusion lines and adjust machine settings to meet product specifications.
- Carry out quality inspections, measurements, and visual checks on finished products.
- Identify and report any machine faults, defects, or production issues.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards
- Operating machinery and supporting machine operators where required
- Monitoring productivity and team performance
- Conducting shift handovers and reporting any issues to management
- Assisting with staff training and development
- Managing stock movements and warehouse activities
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times
- Supporting with general warehouse and operational duties as required
Requirements :
- Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence (essential)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Machinery operating experience and/or knowledge would be advantageous
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, proactive, and able to lead by example
