The Best Connection Chesterfield have an exciting opportunity for a number of Experienced Paving Operatives to work with one of our clients based in the Chesterfield area.
Our client has been operating for over 52 years and are a leading provider in their field. They operate up and down the country, providing their specialist services to commercial and residential clients. They are looking for candidates who have a positive attitude, are hardworking and self motivated. You will be working on different sized projects in the surrounding areas.

Role Responsibilities:
The successful Paving candidates will be required to and have experience in:
- Laying all types of paving including Granite Paving, Setts and Cobbles, York stone, Block Paving, Permeable paving, Flags etc.
- Basic setting out of paving grid lines and falls
- Understand and Manage the Quality Control of Paving
- Understand the different bedding and jointing types such as Instarmac, Larson, Steintec, Standard mortar and dry screed also have experience with using them.
- Working with the 3 point paving systems; Priming, Bedding and Grouting
Requirements:
- Experienced in paving.
- CSCS Card Holder (Essential)
- SSSTS (Desirable)
- Abrasive Wheels certificate (Desirable)
- Knowledge and experience of civil & groundworks
- Be able to interpret drawings/plans and details
- Self-motivation with the ability to use own initiative
- A full UK driving licence
- NVQ in modular paving (desirable)
