The Best Connection is currently recruiting a dedicated and experienced Patient Dining Manager on behalf of our client, a leading private hospital based in Kensington, London. This is an exceptional permanent opportunity to oversee a high-end, five-star patient dining operation within a prestigious healthcare setting. You will lead a dedicated team to ensure every patient receives an outstanding, tailored hospitality experience throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities of Patient Dining Manager

  • Team Leadership: Inspire, coach, and manage the patient dining team, overseeing rota planning, inductions, training, and ongoing development.
  • Service Delivery: Drive five-star dining standards across food presentation, delivery accuracy, and personalized VIP service.
  • Patient & Clinical Engagement: Conduct daily patient rounds to gather dietary preferences; collaborate closely with clinical and nursing staff to manage therapeutic and allergen-sensitive dining safely.
  • Quality & Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with food safety (HACCP/Hygiene), infection control, and health and safety regulations.
  • Operational Management: Track performance through KPIs, patient audits, and feedback to continuously improve service quality.
  • Commercial Support: Assist with inventory control, waste reduction initiatives, and labour cost management.

Requirements of Patient Dining Manager

  • Experience: Proven track record in a leadership role within healthcare catering, luxury hospitality, or premium foodservice operations.
  • Qualifications: Level 3 Food Safety certification (or equivalent) and a relevant management qualification.
  • Skills: Excellent stakeholder management, strong IT proficiency (MS Office), and strong service-recovery skills.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to operational needs and high-profile VIP service requirements.
