The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative for our leading manufacturing client based in Wheatley, with immediate starts available.

This role is ideal for someone with a merchant or yard background who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining a safe and organised workspace.
Requirements:
- Previous experience within a merchant or yard environment
- Full UK driving licence
- Knowledge of maintaining yard equipment and vehicles
- Minimum 1 year yard experience preferred (but not essential)
- FLT licence or experience
Hours and Pay:
- Monday to Friday
- Temp to perm position
- 07:00am - 17:00pm
- £13.58ph (increasing after going perm)
Job Responsibilities:
- Carrying out daily yard activities, including movement of vehicles, materials, and equipment
- Loading and unloading lorries
- Maintaining, servicing, or reporting defects on machinery (e.g. forklifts, JCBs)
- Ensuring health & safety policies are followed at all times
- Keeping the yard clean, organised, and safe
