The Best Connection are seeking to recruit HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) Drivers to work with our client based in North Shields. Due to ongoing demand, our client is looking to expand their transport team to support trunk deliveries across the UK.
The Role:
- Start time: 06:00, day shift
- Trunk runs to set UK locations - no handball
- Work includes ad-hoc shifts, sickness and holiday cover
- Customer-facing role - friendly and professional attitude required
- A driving assessment and induction will be required prior to starting
The Candidate:
- Must hold a valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Must have at least 1 year of commercial Class 1 driving experience
- Clean licence preferred (minor points considered)
- Smart appearance and good communication skills are essential
Hours of Work:
- Day shifts only, starting at 06:00
- Shifts offered on an ad-hoc basis with ongoing support required
- Flexibility required for sickness and holiday cover
Pay Rates (PAYE):
- £16.00 per hour - Monday to Friday (first 8 hours)
- £24.00 per hour - Monday to Friday (after 8 hours)
- £24.00 per hour - Saturday (all hours)
- £32.00 per hour - Sunday & Bank Holidays (all hours)
