The Best Connection is seeking to recruit a Night Shift Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver (Temp to Perm) on behalf of my client based in Newton Aycliffe. We are currently seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver to join their night shift warehouse team.

Responsibilities

  • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
  • Loading and unloading palletised goods.
  • Preparing vehicles for the Class 2 HGV drivers to ensure timely departures.
  • Following instructions and work schedules provided by the Warehouse Manager.
  • Completing all relevant paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety within the warehouse.
  • Working independently during the night shift while ensuring operational targets are met.

Candidate Profile

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence.
  • Previous experience in a similar warehouse or transport environment.
  • Confident loading and unloading trailers using a Counterbalance FLT.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
  • Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Hours of Work

22:00pm start Sunday to Friday 06:00am. No Weekend work required.

Pay Rates (First 12 Weeks)

£14.65 per hour.
