The Best Connection are seeking to recruit an experienced Fabricator/Welder to work with their client.
Our client is a growing bespoke fabrication business specialising in high-quality metalwork.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Fabricator/Welder with MIG/TIG welding experience to join a busy workshop on an ongoing temporary assignment with the opportunity to secure a permanent position.
- Role
- Working as a Fabricator/Welder carrying out bespoke fabrication and MIG/TIG welding on a wide range of projects.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings from start to finish.
- Using MIG/TIG welding techniques to produce high-quality fabricated products.
- Taking ownership of projects from concept through to completion.
- Working independently while taking direction from the Managing Director and Works Manager.
- Producing quality workmanship with excellent attention to detail.
- Managing workloads using job cards and work schedules.
- No repetitive production work - every Fabricator/Welder project is different.
- Candidate
- Experienced Fabricator/Welder with proven MIG/TIG welding experience (competent in both preferred).
- Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Able to complete fabrication projects independently from start to finish.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a flexible approach to bespoke fabrication.
- High attention to detail with pride in producing quality workmanship.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to manage workloads effectively.
- Positive attitude and able to work well within a close-knit team.
- Working environment
- Dedicated welding booth for every Fabricator/Welder.
- Fully equipped workshop with press brakes, lathes, hand drills and all standard fabrication machinery.
- All PPE provided, including welding masks and protective equipment.
- Ongoing training and development, including external MIG/TIG welding training where required.
- Friendly and supportive workshop team with a strong team spirit.
- Hours of work
- Monday - Thursday: 7.00am-4.00pm or 8.00am-5.00pm (depending on business requirements).
- Ongoing temporary assignment with an initial review after two weeks, followed by weekly reviews.
- Preferred start date: Monday 27th July.
- Pay Rates
- £17.00-£18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
