Are you experienced in the recycling, metals, or waste management industry and looking for a stable Monday to Friday role with a market-leading business? Our client in Newmarket is seeking a Yard Operative to join their busy and successful site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service while working with non-ferrous metals and recycling operations.

£13.45 per hour Monday to Friday | 7:00am to 4:00pm

What You'll Be Doing

  • Operating and monitoring the Heavy Media Plant (Wet Line) safely and efficiently
  • Conducting daily plant checks and inspections
  • Processing and sorting non-ferrous metals to quality standards
  • Supporting customers delivering recyclable materials and providing excellent service
  • Monitoring machinery performance and identifying faults or maintenance requirements
  • Assisting with routine cleaning, housekeeping, and maintenance activities
  • Completing production records accurately
  • Loading, unloading, and moving materials safely around the site
  • Following all health, safety, and environmental procedures

  • Previous experience working with non-ferrous metals
  • Experience in a customer-facing environment
  • Experience operating industrial, recycling, production, or processing equipment
