The Best Connection Mansfield are currently recruiting a Mechanical Technician to join a well-established and fast-growing company based in Newark. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a busy construction division, maintaining high-quality equipment in a hands-on and dynamic environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Carry out equipment repairs and pre-hire inspections
  • Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment
  • Complete electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs
  • Service and inspect all equipment to ensure safety and functionality
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, compliance, and performance

Working Hours & Pay Rate

  • Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week (hours may vary)
  • Salary: £30,000

Requirements

  • Previous knowledge or experience within a mechanical, plant hire, or equipment-based role
  • Ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues
  • Self-motivated with a flexible approach to work
  • A full UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential
