We are recruiting for Junior and Experienced Quality Inspectors to work in Barton under Needwood. Successful candidates will be working forworld class manufacturer of butt weld fittings, specialising in Duplex, Super Duplex, nickel alloys and stainless steel.
Job Description
- Perform LPT to international standards/client requirements.
- Perform UT thickness testing to international standards/client requirements.
- Perform Hardness testing to international standards/client requirements.
- Perform Ferritescope testing international standards/client requirements.
- Perform PMI (by XRF and OES) to international standards/client requirements.
- Perform VT to international standards/client requirements.
- Perform other NDT methods (as qualified) to international standards/client requirements.
- Perform Final dimensional inspection to international standards/client requirements.
- Ensuring NDT equipment is in good condition and within calibration.
- Ensuring LPT consumables are in stock and the batches are utilised on a FIFO basis.
- Producing in house NDT reports and ensuring compliance with the purchase order.
- Liaise with client and third party inspectors on witness NDT activities.
- Liaison and resolution with production over Non-conforming product.
- Liaison with workshop supervisors on concerns and/or findings.
- Present at daily NDT/Inspection meetings to discuss NDT concerns and findings and review the dailyinspection requirements from the HSEQ Supervisor.
- Interfacing with the commercial, technical, manufacturing and expediting departments.
- Other duties as required by the HSEQ Management.
Preferred
- Proactive approach to learn new skills and further experience/knowledge of industry.
- Knowledge of the piping materials and products used in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and
- Nuclear industries.
- Knowledge of National and International testing standards, for example, ASME, ASTM, ISO, API
- and NORSOK.
- Knowledge and awareness of metrology equipment.
- Engineering background.

Required
- EN ISO 9712 PCN Level 2 (Method 22 LPT)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Working Hours:
- 39 Hours
- Mon-Thur: 7am to 4pm, 30 minutes lunch
- Fri: 7am to 12pm
