The Best Connection (Newcastle) is currently seeking a professional and reliable Class 1 Tramper Driver to join a long-established, family-run haulage firm based near Morpeth. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driver who enjoys life on the road and wants to work with a well-maintained, modern fleet (predominantly Mercedes-Benz) for a leader in specialised distribution.

The Role:

  • Tramping: Operating across the UK as a Class 1 Tramper, typically Monday to Friday.
  • Equipment: Driving Class 1 vehicles with Chipliner trailers, primarily transporting high-volume wood products.
  • Operations: Ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of vehicle care in a Class 1 Tramper role.

Pay & Hours:

  • £17.00 per hour (Basic rate).
  • £26.00 Night-out Allowance.
  • Paid Breaks included.
  • Weekend Overtime available to boost your take-home pay.

Requirements:

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
  • Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • New pass drivers considered, although previous Class 1 experience is preferred.
