We are looking for an experienced Wood Machinist for a temp to perm role with our client in Morley (LS27). The ideal candidate will have experience working with woodworking machinery and a solid understanding of timber and bespoke manufacturing processes.
Requirements and Responsibilities
- NVQ Level 3 in Wood Machining (or equivalent)
- Proven experience with woodworking machinery
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and technical documents
- Knowledge of timber species
- Experience with computer-controlled machinery (advantageous)
- Operate a wide range of woodworking machinery, including:
- 4-sided planer
- Wide belt sander
- Crosscut and band saws
- Re-saw
- Spindle Moulder
- Edge bander (would be an advantage but not essential)
- Beam saw (would be an advantage but not essential)
- Worktops and bar tops
- Tabletops and benches
- Door casings and rail & stile doors
- Shopfronts
