The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Operative - Picker/Packer to join our client, a leading global supplier of fashionable and high-quality hairpieces, wigs, and beauty accessories, based in the SW19 area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a long-term, temporary to permanent role. Your Responsibilities:

  • Order Processing: Pick and pack customer orders with care, precision, and efficiency.
  • Accuracy: Ensure correct items and quantities are selected using handheld scanners.
  • Dispatch Preparation: Label and prepare parcels for dispatch according to high company standards.
  • Stock Management: Assist in stock replenishment and the organisation of picking locations.
  • Quality Control: Identify and report any stock discrepancies or damaged items immediately.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organised, and safe packing area at all times.
  • General Duties: Support wider warehouse operations when required, including goods in and inventory tasks.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a picker/packer or similar warehouse role.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent accuracy is key when picking and packing orders.
  • Pace and Efficiency: Ability to work quickly to meet daily targets without compromising on quality.
  • Physical Fitness: Comfortable with manual handling and standing for long periods throughout the shift.
  • Tech-Savvy: Basic computer skills and confidence using handheld scanners or Warehouse Management Systems (experience with Waerlinx is a plus).
  • Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to follow instructions clearly.
  • Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, proactive, and a team player with a positive attitude.
  • Compliance: A good understanding of health and safety practices within a busy warehouse environment.
