ROLE PROFILE
As a Class 1 Driver you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods Nationwide using articulated curtain-side vehicles with tail lift, operating on a Monday to Friday tramping schedule. The role requires staying out all week in the vehicle, completing trunking and delivery runs to various UK destinations, and ensuring all loads are safely secured and delivered on time. The position demands strong independence, professionalism, and excellent time management, with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service.
Shift pattern: Monday morning start - Friday evening finish (Tramping role)
DRIVER RESPONSIBILITY
- Check the vehicle regularly and report any issues
- Drive safely and follow all traffic laws
- Communicate politely with the public
- Keep records of the job, mileage, and issues
- Report delays, accidents, or problems to the site manager
DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS
- A full UK driving licence with category CE entitlement
- Min age: 25
- Min 12 months of driving experience
- No more than 6 current penalty points
- No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
