3.5 Tonne Van Drivers

£13.00 per hour | £19.50 OT after 40 hours
The Best Connection are currently recruiting for 3.5T Van Drivers on behalf of a leading parcel delivery and logistics operator, responsible for collecting, transporting and delivering thousands of consignments nationwide each day. This is an opportunity with excellent earning potential and long-term prospects.
About the Role:
3.5T Van Driver - Main duties and requirements are:
- Collecting parcels from both commercial and residential locations on a designated route
- Drivers to use their own phone device and download delivery/collection app
- Completing approx 20 stops per shift (subject to route requirements)
- Loading and securing collected parcels safely within the vehicle
- Providing excellent customer service at collection points
- Drivers must use their own smartphone and download the delivery/collection app to manage and record collections
- Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with company procedures
- Must hold a full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- No DD, DR, DG, BA, CD or TT99 endorsements accepted
This is a physically active role involving regular lifting and handling of parcels throughout the shift.
Working Hours:
- Minimum 8 hours per day
- Minimum 10-12 hour shifts
- Day shifts Monday to Friday
Pay:
- Standard rate of £13.00 per hour
- Overtime rate of £19.50 per hour after 40 hours
What We're Looking For:
- Valid 3.5t entitlement (Category B) Licence
- Confident driving on local roads and navigating collection routes across Milton Keynes and surrounding areas
