Stock Controller in Milnthorpe

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organised Technical Stores Person to take ownership of our engineering and electrical stores.

You will be responsible for managing stock, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring engineers can quickly access the parts they need to keep production running. From small electrical components to critical machine spares, you’ll make sure everything is stored correctly, easy to find, and always accounted for.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong eye for detail, a structured approach to work, and some familiarity with engineering or electrical parts.

Key Responsibilities

• Organise and maintain engineering and electrical stock.
• Receive and check deliveries against purchase orders.
• Monitor stock levels and reorder critical spare parts when required.
• Prepare parts for planned maintenance activities.
• Record all stock movements accurately using Excel and internal systems.
• Work with Engineering, Purchasing, and Finance teams to ensure parts are available when needed.
• Maintain a tidy, efficient, and well‑organised stores environment.
• Ensure all issued parts are correctly logged and tracked.

About You

• Naturally organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with electrical and mechanical components.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Able to follow and enforce stock control procedures.
• Previous experience in stores, stock control, inventory, warehouse, or engineering environments would be beneficial.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.
