We are currently recruiting for experienced Slingers/Riggers to join a busy site in Middlesbrough (TS6). This is an excellent opportunity for qualified candidates with experience in lifting operations to secure ongoing work with regular overtime available.
Pay Rates
- Standard Hours (Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm): £14.45 per hour
- Weekday Overtime (Monday-Friday, after 3:30pm until 5:00pm): £17.48 per hour
- Saturday (7:00am - 12:00pm): £17.48 per hour
- Saturday Overtime (after 12:00pm) & All Day Sunday: £20.67 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Slinging and rigging loads in accordance with lift plans and site procedures
- Working closely with crane operators and site supervisors to ensure safe lifting operations
- Carrying out pre-use checks on lifting equipment and reporting any defects
- Following all site health and safety regulations
- Assisting with general site duties when required
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
Essential Requirements
- Valid CPCS or NPORS, or similar Slinger/Signaller certification
- Previous experience in lifting operations within construction, industrial, or civil engineering environments
- Good understanding of safe rigging practices and lifting procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious approach to work
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Additional lifting or rigging qualifications
- Experience working on large infrastructure, industrial, or heavy civils projects
