The Best Connection Mansfield are currently recruiting General Operatives to join a well-established steel fabrication company based in Alfreton. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a forward-thinking business known for its high-quality products and commitment to continuous improvement.
PLEASE NOTE: Interest in welding is required as our client are looking for driven, motivated and ambitious individuals looking for an opportunity.
Interviews: If you’re interested in this role, you’ll first attend an interview at our Mansfield branch, followed by a potential on-site interview with the client.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain 100t and G75 power presses, ensuring zero defects.
- Prepare products for powder coating by cleaning and wiping steel surfaces.
- Inspect products for defects and report issues to the manufacturing team.
- Assemble and fit products to the highest standard before dispatch.
- Assist with picking and packing spare orders ready for delivery.
- Helping experienced welders when required.
- Complete paperwork accurately and sign off finished products.
- Load vehicles for delivery runs and maintain cleanliness of equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company standards, including PPE usage.
Working Hours & Pay Rate:
Monday to Thursday, 07:30am to 16:30pm; Friday, 07:30am to 13:30pm. Pay rate: £13.50 per hour. Previous experience in a paint shop, quality control, or similar manufacturing environment is preferred.
