The Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of Brightwake Fabrications. We are currently looking for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join the growing workshop team at Brightwake Fabrications, a specialist in architectural metalwork, bespoke fabrication, and structural steelwork across commercial and industrial projects. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role with a reputable and expanding business offering a varied and interesting workload.
The Role
- Working within a busy and fast-paced workshop, you will be responsible for producing high-quality metalwork to specification, both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG/MAG welding in a variety of positions
- Fabricating and assembling steelwork from engineering drawings
- Cutting, drilling, shaping, and forming steel components
- Grinding and finishing to a high standard (including powder coat finishes)
- Setting up and operating welding equipment safely
- Using workshop machinery including saws, drills, and plasma cutters
- Maintaining excellent quality standards throughout
- Working closely with supervisors to meet production deadlines
- Ensuring a clean, safe, and organised working environment
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a fabrication and welding environment
- Confident MIG/MAG welder
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings independently
- Strong attention to detail and pride in work
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Experience in structural steel or architectural metalwork is highly desirable
Desirable (Not Essential)
- TIG welding experience
- Welding qualifications or coding
- FLT, IPAF, or CSCS cards
- Experience with site installation
