Deputy Line Leader - Kirkby-in-Ashfield
The Best Connection Mansfield are currently recruiting for a Deputy Line Leader for our client based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Supervisor, Team Leader, Lead Operative or Senior Production Operative looking to take the next step in their career.
£15.00 per hour + overtime available
The Role
Working alongside the Line Leader, you will help oversee a team of up to 20 production operatives, ensuring production targets, quality and safety standards are met.
This is a hands-on role, so you'll be working on the production line alongside the team while providing leadership and support.
Key duties include:
- Supporting, motivating and supervising the production team
- Helping achieve production targets and deadlines
- Providing guidance and training to team members
- Monitoring productivity and resolving issues
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety and housekeeping
- Providing cover for the Line Leader when required
About You
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience within manufacturing
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A hands-on approach and willingness to work on the production line
- Ability to motivate and support a team
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office
SAP experience and knowledge of lean manufacturing would be advantageous.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday - rotating shifts:
- 06:00 - 14:00
- 14:00 - 22:00
