Are you an experienced Cook looking for more flexibility in your work? Do you have an Enhanced DBS on the update service? Care Connection, a division of The Best Connection, are recruiting experienced DBS checked Cooks to work for our clients in their Care Homes in the Wiltshire area.
As an Agency Cook, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of Care Homes in the area. You will be able to pick and choose the shifts you want and the locations you prefer to work in. This is a temporary role, you will work on an ad hoc basis, supporting our clients covering staffing gaps due to sickness and holidays. You will need to have an Enhanced DBS on the update service to be successful in this role!
Job Role
Working in a food preparation environment, general preparation, cooking and serving or supporting with preparation, cooking and serving of nutrition for service users on site. Could include stock and delivery control, menu creation, cleaning, supporting individuals with choice, physical support to eat meals/drinks, recording of nutritional intakes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of tasty and nutritious meals.
- Maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised Kitchen at all times.
- Work with the kitchen staff team to optimise productivity and ensure smooth running of the day's service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook or Chef in a professional Kitchen.
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- A passion for food and creativity in the kitchen.
