The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an Operator - Pasteurising Area for one of our well-established clients based in Shrewsbury.
Please note: Due to the location and early start times, candidates must have their own transport as there is no public transport available.
Working Hours & Pay
- Monday to Friday 07:00am - 17:30pm
- Starting pay: £13.00 per hour (Negotiable depending on experience)
- This is a temporary to permanent opportunity
- Future shift pattern will move to a 4 on / 4 off rota, including weekends - flexibility is essential
Key Responsibilities
- Operating and monitoring pasteurising machinery used for heat-treating liquid products
- Loading raw materials into the pasteurising system
- Checking temperatures, timings, and process controls to ensure food safety standards are met
- Carrying out quality checks (e.g. consistency, colour, contamination)
- Accurately recording production data and completing paperwork
- Cleaning and sanitising equipment in line with hygiene standards
- Following strict health & safety and food hygiene (HACCP) procedures
- Reporting any faults, issues, or inconsistencies to supervisors
- Supporting general production tasks when required
Requirements
- Previous experience within a production or food manufacturing environment (essential)
- Valid Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate (essential)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes
- Reliable, with a good work ethic
- Able to commit to 12-hour shifts and future weekend work
- Own transport required due to location
