Machine Operator

We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Machine Operator to join our clients production team. The role involves setting up and operating metal processing machinery. You will report directly to the Production Manager and play a key role in supporting daily manufacturing operations.

Monday – Friday 07:30-16:40

Pay rate ranges from £12.71 – £17.00 depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate metal processing machinery according to job cards and specifications.
• Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances accurately.
• Load materials into feed mechanisms safely.
• Monitor operations, take measurements, and ensure products meet quality standards.
• Identify faults, troubleshoot issues, and adjust machine controls as required.
• Complete job cards and production records accurately.

What we need from you:

• Strong attention to detail.
• Mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
• Honest, reliable, and punctual.
• Willingness to work flexibly.
• Previous experience operating machinery (especially metal processing or slitting machines).
