Our client, based at London Luton Airport is seeking an experienced and motivated Logistics & Freight Forwarding Executive to join their growing operations team based in Luton. Part of the highly successful, 24/7 UK and international logistics services specialising in aerospace, airside logistics, and global freight forwarding. The successful candidate will be joining an operation with over 35 years of specialised experience and given the tools and training needed to thrive in the Logistics & Freight Forwarding Executive role.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage import and export shipments across all transport modes
- Complete and monitor import/export customs compliance procedures, including ASM entries
- Ensure aviation and airside logistics protocols are maintained at all times
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and transport partners to ensure smooth operations
- Manage and prioritise daily workloads in a fast-paced environment
- Monitor and respond to group inbox enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Resolve operational issues and provide effective logistics solutions
The Ideal Candidate
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience within Freight Forwarding
- Previous experience handling import/export documentation across air, road, and sea freight
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels
- Proactive problem solver with a flexible approach to work
- Full UK Driving Licence with fewer than 6 penalty points
- Able to provide a 5-year checkable employment history with no gaps exceeding 28 consecutive days
- Must have the right to work in the UK and no disqualifying convictions
