Banksman / Traffic Marshall Vacancies available at London Luton Airport! Our client, a leader in passenger support services is currently recruiting for a Banksman / Traffic Marshall to join its growing team. Working within one of the largest international airports in the UK, this role offers candidates the opportunity to learn new skills and offer an exceptional level of customer service to passengers whether it's their first flight or their 100th!
Due to the nature of this role, all applicants must have a valid Category B Driving Licence; all further training will be provided.
Pay Rates
£13.58 per hour for all hours worked
Working Hours
6 hour shifts, with optional overtime regularly available
4 on 4 off shift pattern
All candidates must be flexible to work between 4am - Midnight

Main Duties & Responsibilities
As a Banksman / Traffic Marshall within the PRM Team (Passengers with Reduced Mobility), successful candidates will be playing a crucial role in guiding vehicles and ensuring the safe movement of passengers with reduced mobility & acting as a customer service ambassador, ensuring passengers feel supported and cared for. Your daily roles can include:
- Safely marshalling Hi-Lift vehicles to and from aircraft using hand signals and established procedures
- Driving a minibus on airport grounds
- Assisting the driver in positioning vehicles within 2 feet of aircraft doors for safe passenger transfer
- Coordinating with cabin crew and ground staff to ensure smooth boarding and disembarkation of passengers
- Supporting passengers onto the aircraft, into terminal buildings, or into vehicles using safe manual handling techniques.
About you
Successful applicants will have a background in a customer facing role & will hold a valid driving licence. Requirements include:
- A valid Category B Driving Licence & the confidence to drive a mini bus
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- A polite and professional approach
- The ability to deal tactfully with upset or angry passengers.
